Abstract: The present invention provides a method for supporting bearer resource control, used to assign Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) bearer resource to a group service, comprising: assigning MBMS bearer resource to each group service according to group service information in a system; the group service information comprising the number of the group services in the system and service type information of the group services. By using the present invention, the MBMS bearer resources are assigned to the group services reasonably.
