Abstract: An agent service method and an electronic device are provided. The agent service method includes displaying an additional contacts list that is received from at least one of at least one contact server and at least one agent registration server in response to a contact addition request using the electronic device, adding first contact target information to a contacts list of the electronic device in response to a registration request for the first contact target information that is selected from among the additional contacts list, and performing an agent service with respect to user's input information of a user of the electronic device via a communication channel between the electronic device and the at least one contact server or between the electronic device and the at least one agent executing server according to second contact target information that is selected from the contacts list.
