Abstract: Provided is an API invoker of performing an onboarding. The API invoker includes a transceiver and a processor coupled with the transceiver and configured to obtain, from a service provider, onboarding information including an onboarding credential and information of a CAPIF core function, establish a secure session with the CAPIF core function based on the onboarding information and control the transceiver to transmit, to the CAPIF core function, an onboard API invoker request message along with the onboarding credential and to receive an onboard API invoker response message based on a result of a validating the onboarding credential at the CAPIF core function.

Abstract: A method for controlling media reception at an electronic device communicating with at least one external device includes establishing a communication session between the electronic device and the at least one external device via a server; in response to establishing the communication session, creating an instance of a first reception control state machine for controlling multiple media receptions in the communication session; receiving, from the server, a media transmission notification indicating that a media reception is available from an external device; receiving, from a user of the electronic device, an input for permitting the media reception; and in response to receiving the input, transmitting a media reception request requesting the media reception to the server and creating an instance of a second reception control state machine for controlling the media reception.

Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a method for managing short data service (SDS) disposition notifications in a Mission Critical Data (MCData) communication system. The method includes identifying, by a receiving MCData User Equipment (UE), SDS disposition request type Information Element (IE) in a SDS message received from a transmitting MCData UE. Further, the method includes initiating, by the receiving MCData UE, a timer when the disposition request type Information Element (IE) is set as Delivery and Read. Furthermore, the method includes transmitting, by the receiving MCData UE, a consolidated disposition notification to the transmitting MCData UE by stopping the timer when the SDS message is read before expiry of the timer.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and system for managing mission critical push-to-talk (MCPTT) communication. The method includes receiving, by a floor control server, a first floor request message, from a primary floor participant, while a floor is granted to a secondary floor participant and a first media transmission is performed by the secondary floor participant; in response to receiving the first floor request message, transmitting, by the floor control server, to the secondary floor participant, a first floor revoke message for stopping the first media transmission of the secondary floor participant, and transmitting, by the floor control server, a first floor grant message to the primary floor participant; and transmitting, by the floor control server, a first floor taken message to the secondary floor participant, wherein the first floor taken message includes information of the primary floor participant granted the floor.

Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose formats for MCData messages and notifications, and methods for coding (encoding and decoding) MCData messages and notifications in a MCData communication system. The method includes generating, by a first UE, an encoded MCData message or notification comprising of signaling payload and data payload content related to one or more MCData user payloads. Further the method includes deriving, by a second UE, the actual MCData messages or notifications by decoding the received encoded MCData messages or notifications. The formats for MCData messages and MCData notifications optimize control headers and allow maximum user data size that can be carried in a single message over signalling, which aids in sending multiple user payloads in a single message.

Various Keys such as, signaling plane key or media plane key or a dedicated MCData data payload signaling key can be used independently or in a combination thereof to achieve the desired security context. The proposed method allows protection of all the application level components with the signaling plane security context.
