Abstract: Various embodiments of the disclosure relate to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transfer rate higher than that of a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as LTE (long term evolution). An operating method of an electronic device according to various embodiments may include: receiving a reference signal from a base station via a plurality of antennas; acquiring path loss values respectively corresponding to the antennas, based on the reference signal; determining at least two antennas among the antennas, based on frequency band information received from the base station; acquiring a ratio for the path loss values corresponding to the determined at least two antennas; and transmitting a signal via the at least two antennas, based on the acquired ratio.
