Abstract: A method of providing a summary of a video in an electronic device includes determining first summary frames from among a plurality of frames of the video, based on a preset criterion; generating a plurality of pieces of first summary information corresponding to the first summary frames; and displaying at least one of the first summary frames and the plurality of pieces of first summary information, together with at least one frame of the video.
