Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure is to provide a refrigerator and a method of controlling the same that protects privacy by designating a user in each storage chamber and allowing only the designated user to use the storage chamber in order to protect the privacy of each user and preventing mishandling of items stored in the refrigerator in advance when the plurality of users share a refrigerator, and prevents mishandling of stored items by prohibiting the use of the storage chamber other than the designated storage chamber. The refrigerator includes a display; a storage chamber configured to allow use only by authorized users; and a controller configured to display information of the storage chamber through the display in response to the completion of user authentication of the storage chamber.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic device and a method of controlling the same, and more specifically, to a network configuration technology for electronic devices to be registered in a home network system. An electronic device according to one embodiment includes a communicator configured to perform data communication with a new electronic device which is not registered in an access point (AP), a storage which stores authentication information for accessing the AP, and a controller configured to, when the controller receives device identification information of the new electronic device through the communicator, control the communicator to transmit the authentication information, which allows the new electronic device to access the AP, to the new electronic device based on the received identification information.
