Abstract: A washing machine includes a main body, a tub inside the main body, a drum configured to be rotated inside the tub, and a drive device configured to rotationally drive the drum. The drive device includes a drum shaft connected to the drum, a motor including a stator and a rotor configured to be rotated by an interaction with the stator, a sun gear connected to the rotor, a carrier connected to the drum shaft, a planetary gear configured to transmit a rotational force of the sun gear to the carrier, and a cooling flow path formed therein and through which air is introduced and discharged to cool the planetary gear. The cooling flow path includes a first cooling hole formed in the sun gear to allow outside air to be introduced, and a second cooling hole formed in the rotor to allow inside air to be discharged.
