Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus provided with an RF receiver having a power producing module configured to produce power that is to be supplied to the RF receiver through an RF pulse which is applied to a subject from an RF transmitting coil, the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus including an RF receiver provided with an RF transmitting coil configured to apply an RF pulse to a subject to excite an atomic nucleus, and with a power producing module configured to produce power by receiving the RF pulse applied by the RF transmitting coil.
