Abstract: Disclosed are an electronic device and a method of operating the same. The electronic device may include: at least one sensor including one or more of a proximity sensor and a biometric sensor; a motion sensor; and a processor, wherein the processor may be configured to identify proximity of a user corresponding to the electronic device through the at least one sensor, to acquire a motion value corresponding to a motion of the electronic device based on the identification, and to execute at least one function based on the motion value.
