Abstract: Provided is an image forming apparatus including: a feeding unit configured to feed a recording medium; an image forming unit configured to form an image on the recording medium; a fuser configured to fuse the image formed on the recording medium; a discharging unit configured to discharge the recording medium; a motor configured to drive at least one of the feeding unit, the image forming unit, the fuser, and the discharging unit, and comprise a rotor including at least one pair of permanent magnets and a Hall sensor measuring a position of the permanent magnets; and a controller configured to drive the motor based on a signal received from the Hall sensor.
