Abstract: An electronic device capable of connecting to networks, and in particular, to a device and method for managing Packet Data Protocol (PDP) context in an electronic device are provided. The method includes when first network connection information stored in a memory upon performance of an initialization booting operation is different from second network connection information, using the second network connection information for network connection, wherein the first network connection information corresponds to network connection information defined by default in the electronic device and the second network connection information corresponds to network connection information updated by a service provider.
