Abstract: A power driven mechanism is disclosed herein for feeding a length of wire about an object to be tied and for twisting the wire into a closure about the object. The mechanism includes a motor for driving a pair of arms for positioning the wire length and for twisting the wire into securement. The motor also drives a cutting mechanism for severing the wire. Reduction gearing, cams and cam followers and pivotal linkage operably interconnect the mechanism so as to provide a predetermined operating sequence.
