摘要： A fusion splicer is disclosed. The fusion splicer includes a fusion splicing unit that fusion splices of optical fibers, a communication unit that communicates through wireless connection with an external terminal, and a setting unit that sets a fusion condition of the fusion splicing unit. The communication unit acquires information related to the fusion condition of the fusion splicing unit from the external terminal. The setting unit sets the fusion condition of the fusion splicing unit based on the acquired information related to the fusion condition. The fusion splicing unit fusion splices in accordance with the fusion condition set by the setting unit.

摘要： A theft tracking system for tracking a stolen fusion splicer of fusion splicers each of which is wirelessly accessible. The system includes a registration reception unit to receive registration of identification information of the stolen fusion splicer, a communication unit to transmit an identifier of a wireless access point allocated to the stolen fusion splicer to information communication terminals as a stolen article identifier, an acquisition unit to acquire identifiers of wireless access points around the respective terminals in a predetermined cycle, a determining unit to determine whether there is any identifier matching the stolen article identifier in the identifiers of the acquired wireless access points and to transmit positional information of the information communication terminal together with the stolen article identifier when determined that there is an identifier matching the stolen article identifier, and a notification unit to issue a notification of the transmitted positional information.

摘要： A fusion splicer is capable of sensing whether or not the fusion splicer is in a stolen state in cooperation with a theft sensing device. The fusion splicer includes an authentication processing unit that authenticates the theft sensing device, a storage unit that stores identification information of the theft sensing device subjected to authentication processing, a decision unit that decides whether or not the fusion splicer is in a stolen state based on a communication condition with respect to the theft sensing device, a locking unit that locks at least a part of functions of the fusion splicer when it is decided that the fusion splicer is in a stolen state, a releasing unit that temporarily releases the locked function of the fusion splicer, and an input unit that receives an input of a release ID for releasing the locked state.
