Abstract: A temperature adjustment apparatus adjusting a temperature of a liquid crystal panel module, includes a thermoelectric conversion device in contact with the liquid crystal panel module, and a control unit controlling the thermoelectric conversion device, wherein the liquid crystal panel module includes a thermal diffuser having a contact portion in contact with a liquid crystal panel and an extending portion extending from the contact portion and diffusing received heat, the thermoelectric conversion device has a first surface in contact with the extending portion, and a second surface at an opposite side to the first surface, and the control unit is configured to execute warming processing of supplying heat to the thermal diffuser using the thermoelectric conversion device and warming the liquid crystal panel by the heat diffused in the thermal diffuser, and cooling processing of absorbing the heat of the liquid crystal panel transferred to the thermal diffuser.

Abstract: A projector includes first to third panel modules, a light combiner, a projection optics module, and an optical path shifting module that shifts the optical path of projection image light enters the projection optics module. The optical path shifting module includes an optical path changing member, a first actuator that swings the optical path changing member around a first swing axis, and a second actuator that swings the optical path changing member around a second swing axis. The first panel module includes a liquid crystal panel for first light, a heat diffuser for first light, a thermoelectric conversion device for first light, and a cooler for first light. The first actuator and the second actuator are each disposed at a position separate from a side end facing the optical path shifting module out of the side ends of the thermoelectric conversion device for first light.

Abstract: A light transmissive optical element module includes an optical device having a light transmissive optical element that causes light incident thereon to exit and a heat transfer surface via which heat of the light transmissive optical element is transferred, a heat diffuser that includes a contact section in contact with the heat transfer surface and an extension extending from the contact section and diffuses the received heat, a thermoelectric conversion device that has a first surface in contact with the extension and a second surface disposed at a side opposite from the first surface, absorbs via the first surface the heat transferred from the extension, and dissipates the absorbed heat via the second surface, and a cooler in contact with the second surface.
