Abstract: The present invention pertains to a fluoroelastomer composition including well-dispersed carbide fillers, to a method for its manufacture comprising: (i) providing an aqueous dispersion of particles of at least one non-metal carbide possessing an average particle size of less than 100 nm; (ii) providing an aqueous latex of a fluoroelastomer; (iii) mixing the said dispersion and the said latex; and (iv) coagulating, and to the use of the same for manufacturing cured articles.
