Abstract: The present technology relates to an image processing device, a control method, and a program which are capable of improving convenience. The image processing device includes: a setting unit that sets a flip function of displaying an image in a state of being vertically inverted to ON or OFF; and a control unit that performs control so that a display screen is allowed to be displayed on the basis of setting of the flip function, and in a case of receiving an operation instruction related to a predetermined direction from an external device, an operation related to the predetermined direction is performed with the display screen set as a reference. The present technology is applicable to a digital camera.

An image pickup apparatus according to a first aspect of the present technology includes a lens section including a focus adjusting lens, a control section configured to drive the focus adjusting lens over a movable area, and an operation receiving section configured to receive an instruction operation for causing the control section to drive the focus adjusting lens, in which the operation receiving section distinctively receives a first instruction operation for moving the focus adjusting lens by a first number of steps within the movable area and a second instruction operation for moving the focus adjusting lens by a second number of steps more than the first number of steps within the movable area. The present technology is applicable to a digital camera.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an imaging apparatus, an imaging method, and a program that enable operation in which a display unit is brought into a turn-off state when a predetermined time elapses after start of capturing a moving image, a command from a remote commander is accepted and executed, and the captured moving image is output to an external apparatus. In a case where a manipulation unit that outputs a command depending on content of a user manipulation is manipulated and a command causing a moving image to be recorded on a recording medium is output, recording of the moving image is started and the display unit is controlled to a turn-off state in which an image is not displayed. The present disclosure can be applied to an imaging apparatus.
