Abstract: Communication with a user is more naturally and effectively realized. An information processing apparatus includes an autonomous mobile body (10) that travels while maintaining an inverted state, and an operation control unit (230) that controls an operation of the autonomous mobile body. The autonomous mobile body includes a main body (10), two wheels (570) mounted on the main body, and a drive mechanism (565) that drives the two wheels. The operation control unit controls the drive mechanism to maintain the inverted state of the autonomous mobile body by the two wheels in a first state, and make the autonomous mobile body come to rest by the two wheels and a bottom of the main body when the autonomous mobile body transfers from the first state to a second state.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an autonomous mobile device, a control method, and a program which enable higher-speed self-position estimation with higher accuracy and with a smaller calculation load. Provided is an autonomous mobile device including: a sensor unit including at least a first sensor that detects an angular velocity, a second sensor that is installed in a housing and detects a speed of a wheel, and a third sensor that detects a displacement amount on a two-dimensional plane; and a self-position estimation unit that estimates a self-position on the basis of parameters calculated by the sensor unit, the self-position estimation unit using a predetermined parameter suitable for a predetermined condition among the parameters of the respective sensors calculated by the sensor unit when estimating the self-position. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an autonomous mobile robot device.

The operation controller (175) controls a posture operation of the autonomous mobile body (10) based on the motion data acquired by the acquisition unit (174).
