Abstract: Provided are methods for treating coronavirus infections by administering modified nucleosides, ester and amino acid ester prodrugs of nucleoside, their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, and drug combination thereof, of Formula (I). The compounds, combination, and methods provided are particularly useful for preventing, mitigating, or treating coronavirus infections or cytopathic effects resulting from the replication or reproduction of coronaviruses and their variants, including SARS-CoV-2.
