Abstract: An accordion pleated filter element is disposed in a cup-shaped housing and sealed to the adjacent walls of the housing dividing the interior thereof into an inlet and outlet. A cover plate, having ports communicating with the inlet and outlet, is bonded to the open end of the housing and the exposed side of the pleated element with a plastisol which covers the entire plate and extends through the ports.
