Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for indicating an attentiveness of a user of a head-mounted display (HMD) device. The HMD device may include a camera configured to capture images of the surrounding environment, an electronic display configured to display the images captured by the camera, and one or more sensors configured to track a direction of gaze of the user. In some aspects, the HMD device may output an attention cue based on the images displayed on the electronic display and the user's direction of gaze. The attention cue may indicate an attentiveness of the user to a person or object in the surrounding environment. In some implementations, the attention cue may be output via an attention indicator disposed on an outer surface of the HMD device. In some other implementations, the attention cue may be output via a communication interface that communicates with another HMD device.

Abstract: A semiconductor assembly for a display device comprises a display driver integrated circuit (DDIC) chip and an interposer coupled to the DDIC chip. The DDIC chip comprises a plurality of output pads and a plurality of input pads. Further, the DDIC chip is configured to drive a plurality of data lines of the display device to update an active region of the display device. The interposer comprises a plurality of output pads coupled to the plurality of output pads of the DDIC chip and is configured to be coupled to the plurality of data lines of the display device. The interposer further comprises a plurality of input pads coupled to the plurality of input pads of the DDIC chip pads. Abstract: Embodiments of the invention generally provide a method and apparatus that is configured to reduce the effects of interference that is undesirably provided to a transmitter signal that is delivered from a transmitter signal generating device to a sensor processor to determine if an input object is disposed within a touch sensing region of a touch sensing device. In one embodiment, the sensor processor includes a receiver channel that has circuitry that is configured to separately receive a transmitter signal delivered from a display processor and a sensor processor reference signal that is based on a display processor reference signal to reliably sense the presence of an object. Embodiments of the invention described herein thus provide an improved apparatus and method for reliably sensing the presence of an object by a touch sensing device.

Abstract: Display devices with improved routing between connectors and source drivers disposed on a substrate such as glass. Various features improve different characteristics of the routings between the connectors and source drivers. For example, a t-shaped connector is provided to ensure voltage provided to the source drivers is approximately equal. Routings may be tapered (i.e., altered in width) to reduce the amount of area consumption in locations where doing so is desirable but to decrease resistance in areas having more space. Routings may also include stacked power supply and ground traces to provide benefits such as improved decoupling capacitance. Other features are provided.

Abstract: An example method of capacitive sensing includes: receiving at least one code division multiplexed (CDM) signal transmitted from different transmitters using different codes over a plurality of signal bursts, wherein a length of each of the different codes is equal to or greater than a number of the different transmitters; filtering the at least one CDM signal using an impulse response filter, wherein the filtering comprises: accumulating the at least one CDM signal over the plurality of signal bursts to obtain measurements of the at least one CDM signal; and for the measurements of the at least one CDM signal, applying different filter weights to the resulting signals over a number of the plurality of signal bursts that is greater than the length of the different codes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein include an input device, processing system and methods for touch sensing. In one embodiment, an input device is provided that includes a plurality of sensing elements arranged in a sensor pattern and a plurality of conductive routing traces. Each conductive routing trace is conductively paired with a respective one of the plurality of sensing elements. The sensor routing traces are configured to reduce an RC load of the corresponding paired sensing elements compared to a base RC load of a plurality of base electrodes arranged in a base pattern that is identical to the sensor pattern. Each base sensor electrode is conductively paired with a base routing trace. The base sensor electrode and paired base routing trace have a size that is identical to a size of the paired sensing elements and conductive routing trace. The base routing trace terminates at the base sensor electrode to which the base routing trace is paired.
