Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image using light, a backlight assembly including a light source unit configured to generate the light, a lower receiving container including a bottom portion covering a lower surface of the light source unit and a side wall extended from an edge of the bottom portion, and a mold frame including a transmission portion between and facing a upper surface of the light source unit and the display panel, and a supporting portion facing a side surface of the lower receiving container, and a cover member covering a side surface of the mold frame and a lower surface of the lower receiving container.
