摘要: A display device includes a display panel including pixels, and a driver to drive the display panel based on input image data. The driver performs a sensing operation for the pixels, to selectively perform the sensing operation by comparing grayscale values of the input image data and a reference grayscale value, to selectively perform a luminance control operation for controlling luminance of the display panel in response to a luminance control signal, and to adjust the reference grayscale value when the luminance control operation is performed.

摘要: A deterioration compensation apparatus includes a zone determiner, a stress generator, a first memory and a stress compensator. The zone determiner divides a display area into zones based on a distance from a central portion of the display area. The stress generator generates stress values of output image data for blocks including a plurality of pixels in the display area. The first memory accumulates the stress values of the output image data for the blocks and stores the accumulated stress values of the output image data for the blocks. The stress compensator receives the accumulated stress values of the output image data for the blocks and compensates input image data in a unit of pixels. A number of the pixels included in a block of the blocks varies according to the zone in which the pixels included in the block are located.

摘要: A display apparatus includes a display panel including pixels, a gate driver outputting gate signals to the pixels, a data driver outputting data voltages to the pixels, a sensing circuit receiving sensed signals from the pixels, a power voltage generator applying a power voltage, and a driving controller for stopping the display panel, the gate driver, the data driver, and/or the power voltage generator when the display panel is determined to be defective. The driving controller selects a first-mode threshold set or a second-mode threshold set based on an initial value set related to the sensed signals for determining whether the display panel is defective. Thresholds in the first-mode threshold set respectively correspond to and are respectively unequal to thresholds in the second-mode threshold set.

摘要: A display device includes a display panel including pixels, a degradation compensator configured to divide the display panel into one or more unit blocks initially including reference pixels, to calculate a stress data using the unit blocks, and to compensate an image data to generate a compensation data based on an accumulate stress data including an accumulation of the stress data, a data driver configured to generate a data signal based on the compensation data provided from the degradation compensator, and to provide the data signal to the pixels, a scan driver configured to provide a scan signal to the pixels, and a timing controller configured to control the data driver and the scan driver, wherein the degradation compensator is configured to generate the accumulate stress data including the stress data of adjacent pixels that are adjacent to the reference pixels by moving the unit blocks in a moving path.
