Abstract: Provided are a display panel and a display apparatus including the same. A display panel includes a substrate including a first display area and a second display area, the second display area including a transmission area, first display elements located in the first display area and second display areas located in the second display area, the first display elements and the second display elements including a counter electrode integrally provided over the first display area and the second display area and including at least one transmission hole in an area corresponding to the transmission area, and a blocking layer at least partially overlapping an edge of the at least one transmission hole.

Abstract: A display panel includes a substrate, first and second sub-pixel circuits on the substrate and spaced from each other with a transmissive area therebetween, first and second sub-pixel electrodes respectively electrically connected to the first and second sub-pixel circuits, a counter electrode overlapping the first and second sub-pixel electrodes, a common layer including an organic material, and interposed between the first sub-pixel electrode and the counter electrode and between the second sub-pixel electrode and the counter electrode, and a plurality of inorganic insulating layers interposed between the substrate and the first sub-pixel electrode and between the substrate and the second sub-pixel electrode, wherein at least one inorganic insulating layer from the plurality of inorganic insulating layers includes an opening corresponding to the transmissive area, wherein the display panel further includes an overhang structure including a tip extending toward the opening of the at least one inorganic insulating layer.
