Abstract: A backlight unit includes: a light guiding member including an incident surface on which light is incident and an exit surface from which the light is emitted; a light source adjacent to the incident surface of the light guiding member and configured to generate the light; a low refraction layer disposed on the exit surface of the light guiding member; a color conversion layer disposed on the low refraction layer; and an optical layer disposed on the color conversion layer, wherein the optical layer has a pencil hardness of 4 H or greater.
