Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a light source member, an optical film assembly, a rear receiving container and a mold frame. The rear receiving container includes a bottom plate and a plurality of sidewalls. Each of the sidewalls includes a first combining protrusion and a first combining recess. The first combining protrusion and the first combining recess extend in a direction substantially parallel with the protruded direction of the sidewall. The mold frame is disposed in the rear receiving container to press a peripheral portion of the optical film assembly. The mold frame includes a second combining recess and a second combining protrusion.
