Abstract: A display device includes a backlight unit which includes a substrate defining a width thereof in a first direction and a length thereof in a second direction crossing the first direction; light sources mounted on the substrate and arranged in the second direction and spaced apart from each other, each light source generating light and emitting the light in the first direction; a first light blocking layer disposed spaced apart from the light sources in the first direction by a first distance and facing the light sources; and an adhesive member provided in plural arranged in the second direction and spaced apart from each other, the adhesive members disposed spaced apart from the first light blocking layer in a direction opposite to the first direction by a second distance smaller than the first distance, and alternately arranged with the light sources in a zigzag shape.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel and a first protection member which accommodates the display panel. The first protection member includes first sidewalls facing each other and second sidewalls connected to ends of the first sidewalls to face each other. The first and second sidewalls are disposed to surround a side surface of the display panel, the first sidewalls are curved symmetrical to each other, and a distance between central portions of the first sidewalls facing each other is a minimum distance between the first sidewalls, and a distance between ends of the first sidewalls facing each other is a maximum distance between the first sidewalls.
