Abstract:
A digital gamma correction part includes a memory and a selector. The memory is configured to store a basic gamma reference data, a first compensated gamma reference data and a second compensated gamma reference data, where respective data of the first compensated gamma reference data are greater than respective data of the basic gamma reference data, and respective data of the second compensated gamma reference data are less than respective data of the basic gamma reference data. The selector is configured to receive a luminance data determined based on a luminance of a display panel, and to output a gamma reference data by selecting one from the basic gamma reference data, the first compensated gamma reference data and the second compensated gamma reference data based on the luminance data and a gamma converted reference range.
Abstract:
A display device may include a display panel that includes a first region and a second region. The display device may include a controller that may receive a first gamma value and a second gamma value, use the first gamma value or a third gamma value to generate first image data, use the first gamma value and the second gamma value to generate a fourth gamma value, and use the fourth gamma value to generate second image data. The display device may include a data driver that may use the first image data and the second image data to generate a first data voltage set and a second data voltage set. The first region may use the first data voltage set to display a first portion of an image. The second region may use the second data voltage set to display a second portion of the image.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display panel including gate lines, data lines, and pixels connected to the gate lines and the data lines, a gate driver driving the gate lines, a data driver driving the data lines, a voltage generator generating first and second voltages to drive the gate driver, and a timing controller receiving an image signal, applying a data signal and first control signals to the data driver, and applying second control signals to the gate driver. The timing controller calculates a total operation time of the display panel and applies a first voltage control signal and a second voltage control signal to the voltage generator to correspondingly change a voltage level of at least one of the first and second voltages when the total operation time exceeds a predetermined reference time.
