Abstract: An electronic device and method for operating an electronic device are provided. A user input is received to edit at least one object. A first page and a plurality of thumbnail images are displayed. A drag input is detected on an object. When the drag input is directed toward a first area, the object is displayed in the first area and a representation of a first thumbnail image is changed to correspond to the object displayed in the first area. When the drag input is directed toward a second area, the object is moved to the second page, the representation of the first thumbnail image is changed to correspond to moving the object to the second page, and a representation of a second thumbnail image is changed to correspond to moving the object to the second page.
