Provided is a coordinate measuring device for sensing a location of a coordinate indicating device including a resonance circuit. The coordinate measuring device includes a panel including a plurality of channel electrodes configured to transmit a driving signal to the coordinate indicating device through capacitive coupling with the coordinate indicating device and receive a resonance signal generated by the coordinate indicating device, wherein the coordinate indicating device resonates based on the driving signal; and a controller configured to sense at least one of a frequency and a phase of the resonance signal and adjust the driving signal according to the at least one of the frequency and the phase, which is sensed.

The touch pad includes a transparent piezoelectric film layer configured to generate an electrical signal varying according to a touch pressure, and an electrode layer including a plurality of transparent electrodes disposed in a plurality of areas of the transparent piezoelectric film layer and configured to sense a voltage of the electrical signal generated from the plurality of areas.

A coordinate measurement device and method for hover sensing are disclosed. According to the present invention, the coordinate measurement device comprises: a channel electrode unit including a plurality of electrodes, wherein a capacitance of at least one of the plurality of electrodes variably changes by the approach of a contact object; a driving unit for applying a positive voltage to a first electrode group among the plurality of electrodes and applying a negative voltage to a second electrode group among the plurality of electrodes; a reception unit for receiving reception signals from a plurality of electrodes in the first electrode group and a plurality of electrodes in the second electrode group, respectively; and a processor for determining the position of the contact object on the basis of the received signals. Therefore, the coordinate measurement device can detect an accurate position of the contact object approaching the coordinate measurement device, through a conventional sensing element and circuit process.

A coordinate indicating apparatus includes a channel electrode which includes a first plurality of electrodes arranged in a first direction and a second plurality of electrodes arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and which has capacitance between the first plurality of electrodes and the second plurality of electrodes, the capacitance being changed by an approaching contact object; a driver configured to apply driving signals to the first plurality of electrodes simultaneously; a receiver configured to receive response signals from the second plurality of electrodes; and a controller configured to determine a location of the contact object based on the driving signals transmitted to the first plurality of electrodes and the response signals received from the second plurality of electrodes, wherein the driver is configured to simultaneously apply, to the first plurality of electrodes, continuous driving signals according to a matrix corresponding to a Hadamard matrix, and wherein the driving signals exclude a time section.
