Abstract: An electronic device and a method of controlling the electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a camera configured to generate a detection signal by photoelectrically converting incident light, and one or more processors configured to control operations of the camera and process the detection signal, wherein the one or more processors are further configured to generate a plurality of input images from the detection signal, determine a first parameter applied to the camera, based on brightness information of each of the plurality of input images, detect at least one feature from each of the plurality of input images, determine whether to update the first parameter, based on a result of detecting the at least one feature, and adjust the first parameter, based on a brightness of the at least one feature upon determining to update the first parameter.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a memory and at least one processor functionally connected with the memory, wherein the at least one processor may be configured to generate a first signal by modulating a phase of a default signal using a first code corresponding to a first magnetic field generator connected with the electronic device, control the first magnetic field generator connected with the electronic device to radiate a magnetic field corresponding to the first signal, receive a signal from at least one sensor connected with the electronic device, identify a second signal corresponding to the first signal from the signal, using the first code, and determine at least one of a position or a direction of the at least one sensor based on the second signal.

Abstract: An optical device is disclosed. An optical device of the present invention that generates a depth map for an object comprises: a projector for irradiating electromagnetic waves onto an object; an optical receiver for receiving reflected waves reflected from the object; and a processor for generating a first depth map for the object on the basis of the direction of arrival of the received reflected waves, generating a second depth map for the object on the basis of the arrival time of the received reflected waves, and combining the first depth map and the second depth map and generating a depth map for the object.
