Abstract: An electronic device and method are disclosed. The device includes: first wireless communication circuitry for a 5G network, second wireless communication circuitry for a 4G network or a WiFi network, at least one processor. The processor implements the method, including: establishing a video call with an external electronic device on the 4G network or the WiFi network, identify a resolution of the video call, setting a reference value for executing a first handover to the 5G network to be less than a default value, maintain the reference value, when the identified resolution is less than the predetermined threshold resolution, and perform the first handover from the 4G network or the WiFi network to the 5G network, when a RSSI intensity of a signal from the 5G network.

Abstract: An electronic device includes at least one display, a communication circuit, at least one processor, and a memory. The processor is configured to obtain information on a first display aspect ratio associated with a current state of the at least one display if an input indicating initiation of a video call is received. The processor is configured to receive, from the external electronic device, a second signal including information on a second image ratio associated with the video call. The processor is configured to perform the video call based on the second image ratio.

Abstract: An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a processor which implements the method, including establishing a first communication session for a voice call with a first external electronic device using a short-range wireless communication module operably connected to the electronic device, transmitting a request for location information of the electronic device to a second external electronic device via the short-range wireless communication module, when a response to the request is not received from the second external electronic device and when an input is detected requesting an emergency call, establishing a second communication session for the emergency call with the first external electronic device using the short-range wireless communication module, and after receiving the location information from the second external electronic device, updating the first or second communication session by transmitting the received location information to the first external electronic device using the short-range wireless communication module.
