Abstract: An electronic device and a method for displaying an execution screen of an application using icons are provided. The electronic device includes a touch screen that displays one or more application execution icons; and a processor that is electrically connected with the touch screen, and is configured, when a first icon is selected from among the one or more application execution icons, to display an execution screen of a first application corresponding to the first icon, wherein the execution screen of the first application is configured to display at least one second object corresponding to at least one of first object among a plurality of icon objects included in the first icon.
