Abstract: An image processing apparatus is disclosed. The image processing apparatus comprises: a receiver configured to receive an input frame including a plurality of image regions, corresponding to a plurality of faces of a three-dimensional polyhedron, and metadata; and a processor configured to render an output frame including at least one a part of the input frame, on the basis of padding information included in the metadata. Here, the processor may be configured to identify, on the basis of the padding information, a padding region included in at least one of the plurality of image regions, and render, on the basis of the determined padding region, a boundary between at least one face of the plurality of faces and another face of the plurality of faces adjoining the at least one face of the polyhedron.

The image processing apparatus includes an interface configured to output an input frame and metadata including type information and subtype information; and a rendering unit configured to: determine a type of a polyhedron included in an output frame based on the type information, determine attributes of arrangement of a plurality of areas included in the input frame based on the subtype information, and render the output frame by mapping each of the plurality of areas to corresponding faces of the polyhedron, based on the attributes of arrangement of the plurality of areas.

Abstract: An electronic device and its operating method are provided. The electronic device includes a housing including a first surface, a second surface facing the first surface in a spaced apart manner, and a lateral surface surrounding a space between the first surface and the second surface, a display mounted to the housing and including a flat area substantially corresponding to the first surface and a bending area extended from the flat area in a direction of the lateral surface, a filler disposed between the housing and the bending area of the display, at least one electronic component which is installed to the filler and of which one part is exposed to the outside by penetrating at least one region of the bending area of the display, a detection circuit disposed inside the housing and electrically connected to the electronic component to detect an operation of the electronic component, and at least one processor operatively coupled to the detection circuit and the display to provide control to perform a corresponding function of the electronic device on the basis of a provided detection signal.
