Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an electronic device and methods for sharing contents. A first electronic device includes a communication interface, and a processor configured to obtain a request for running a content sharing service with a second electronic device, generate connection identification information using first user identification information corresponding to the first electronic device and second user identification information corresponding to the second electronic device, in response to the request, and transmit the connection identification information to a first external electronic device for providing the content sharing service between the first electronic device and the second electronic device, using the communication interface.
