Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed. An electronic device according to one embodiment comprises a display, a processor operatively connected to the display, and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory is configured to store one or more applications and additional information related to the application, and the memory can store instructions for allowing, when executed, the processor to determine one or more categories to which a plurality of applications belong respectively, on the basis of at least some additional information of the plurality of applications installed in the electronic device, to determine an image corresponding to the one or more categories on the basis of at least some information related to icons of applications belonging to the same category from among the one or more categories, and to display, on the screen of the display, folders by category according to the determined image, including icons of the applications belonging to the same category. Additional various embodiments identified through the specification are possible.
