A method for determining a preferred image format in a User Equipment (UE) supporting a mobile video call between UEs, each having a camera and a display includes receiving, from an opposing UE, video transmission control information including therein a preferred image format, and if the preferred image format requested by the opposing UE is acceptable, then the opposing UE sends video transmission control information including therein at least one of an acceptable response message and an acceptable new preferred image format according to acceptability of the preferred image format requested by the opposing UE.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for changing a mode of a device by a server. The server receives, from a master device, at least one of a user preference document including information related to whether mode synchronization is activated between devices, a device context profile (DCP) document including a rule applied per mode, and a DCP directory document including information related to a profile activated in the DCP document. The at least one of the user preference document, the DCP document, and the DCP directory document is registered. When information related to changing a mode of the master device is received, the at least one of the user preference document, the DCP document, and the DCP directory document is changed based on the changed mode of the master device. The at least one of the changed user preference document, the changed DCP document, and the changed DCP directory document is transmitted to at least one slave device.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for a video call service in a communication system is provided. The method includes transmitting, in a process of configuring a session together with a second terminal by a first terminal, resolution information and color information of an image, which are transmittable and receivable, to the second terminal by the first terminal, receiving the resolution information and the color information of the image, which are transmittable and receivable by the second terminal, from the second terminal by the first terminal, and compressing the image according to the received resolution information and the received color information, and transmitting the image to the second terminal, by the first terminal.
