    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving a voice signal based on an artificial neural network are disclosed. A method of a transmission terminal transmitting a voice signal comprises the steps of: transmitting, to a reception terminal, neural network structure information related to the transmission terminal; generating a wideband signal on the basis of an inputted voice; generating a narrowband signal by down-sampling the wideband signal; and transmitting the narrowband signal to the reception terminal.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and device for controlling transmission or reception of data in a wireless communication system, an operating method of a transmission user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system including: obtaining a point cloud by photographing an object; transmitting, to a reception UE, a message including a parameter for transmission and reception of the point cloud, wherein the parameter for transmission and reception of the point cloud includes at least one of a parameter associated with a direction of the object or a space parameter associated with the object; receiving, from the reception UE, a response message including an application parameter of the reception UE, wherein the application parameter of the reception UE is determined based on the parameter for transmission and reception of the point cloud and a channel state of the reception UE; compressing the point cloud, based on the application parameter of the reception UE, and transmitting, to the reception UE, the compressed point cloud.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method for receiving media content by a client is provided. The method includes receiving, from a server, a media presentation description (MPD) including content type information for three-dimensional (3D) media content and configuration type information for the 3D media content, accessing a segment of the 3D media content based on information included in the MPD, and receiving the 3D media content based on the segment. The content type information may indicate an identifier for the 3D media content, and the configuration type information may indicate whether quality is adjustable for each of content components of the 3D media content.
