    Abstract: A laser induced light detection and ranging (LiDAR) device includes a light source configured to output light, a light detection array including a plurality of light detection elements configured to receive light that is output from the light source and reflected by an object and to convert the light into a corresponding electric signal, a lens configured to focus the light reflected by the object on the plurality of light detection elements, a prism provided between the lens and the light detection array, the prism being configured to split the light output from the lens and direct the light to be incident on the light detection array, and a processor configured to process the electrical signal, and obtain a time of flight (TOF) of the received light based on the processed electrical signal.

    Abstract: A light detection and ranging (LIDAR) device includes: a photodiode configured to generate a current in response to an optical signal being input to the photodiode; a current-voltage conversion circuit configured to convert the current into a voltage; an N-type ring voltage controlled oscillator (RVCO) configured to output a first pulse signal when the voltage is input to the N-type RVCO; a P-type RVCO configured to output a second pulse signal when the voltage is input to the P-type RVCO; and a processor configured to estimate an intensity of the optical signal by identifying, based on the first pulse signal and the second pulse signal, a digital signal value corresponding to the voltage.

    Abstract: A method of generating a finger image includes determining a quantity of electric charge to be removed from each of a plurality of detection circuits connected to a fingerprint sensor, based on an amplifier characteristic of each of the plurality of detection circuits; obtaining a second electrical quantity by removing the quantity of electric charge from a first electrical quantity that is input to each of the plurality of detection circuits; integrating the second electrical quantity to obtain an integrated value; and generating the fingerprint image based on comparison between the integrated value of the second electrical quantity and a predetermined threshold value.

    Abstract: An optical phased array device may include a substrate, a light distribution unit configured to distribute input light along a plurality of paths as distributed light, a light modulator configured to modulate a phase of distributed light to establish phase-modulated light, an antenna configured to emit the phase-modulated light, a clad surrounding the light distribution unit, the light modulator, and the antenna and including a first surface facing the substrate and a second surface opposite the first surface, and a reflective layer facing the second surface of the clad. The reflective layer may be configured to reflect the phase-modulated light emitted from the antenna so that reflected light is emitted to an exterior environment that is external to the optical phased array device based on passing through the substrate.
