Abstract: An apparatus and a method of forming an image, a terminal and a method of controlling printing, and a computer-readable recording medium are provided. The terminal includes a communication interface to communicate with an image forming apparatus, a searcher to search for files stored in a portable storage medium with the communication interface when the image forming apparatus is connected to the portable storage medium, a printing data generator to generate printing data about at least one of the searched files and a controller to control the communication interface to transmit the printing data to the image forming apparatus.
