Abstract:
A washing machine in which a detergent case is located below a washing tub unit and detergent and wash water are supplied from the detergent case to the washing tub unit by a pump. An overflow hole to prevent overflow of water to the outside the detergent case is provided on the detergent case, and the detergent and the wash water do not overflow the detergent case and are discharged to an outside of the washing machine through the overflow hole when the pump breaks down.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a washing machine that may effectively remove residual water remaining at the bottom of a tub after completion of washing, and a control method thereof. A drainage motor is driven to remove residual water remaining at the bottom of a tub when a predetermined time elapses after all washing operations are completed. Thereby, the residual water may be prevented from freezing and thus blocking the drain. Further, the residual water may be removed through a control algorithm, without adding a separate device. Thereby, manufacturing costs may be reduced.
Abstract:
A washing machine having a structure which stably supports a hose or a wire used in the washing machine to prevent sagging or movement of the hose or the wire. The washing machine includes a main body, a spin basket disposed within the main body, an upper cover connected to the upper portion of the main body, a detergent box connected to the bottom surface of the upper cover to supply detergent to the inside of the spin basket, a water supply valve connected to the rear end of the upper cover, a water supply hose connecting the water supply valve to the detergent box, and a support bracket connected to the bottom surface of the upper cover to support the water supply hose so as to prevent sagging of the water supply hose.
Abstract:
A drum type washing machine including a balancer capable of rapidly reducing vibration of a spin tub. The drum type washing machine includes a spin tub which is rotated by receiving rotational force from a driving motor through a rotating shaft, a rear balancer having an annular shape and being coupled to the spin tub, and a shaft flange provided at a center portion thereof with the rotating shaft and coupled to the spin tub so as to uniformly transfer the rotational force to the spin tub. The rear balancer is supported on a rear surface of a rear cover by the shaft flange. Thus, the balls accommodated in the balancer are prevented from moving out of the balancer, even if the balancer is broken due to long-period use.

Abstract:
A drum type washing machine includes a housing; a spin tub rotatable by a driving motor through a rotating shaft; a balancer installed at a rear section of the spin tub; a shaft flange including a hub section to fixedly install the rotating shaft and a plurality of arm sections extending radially outward from the hub section and mounted to the spin tub so as to uniformly transfer the rotational force to the spin tub; and a rear cover provided on the rear section of the spin tub. The balancer is disposed adjacent to the rear cover and the shaft flange such that the first annular-shaped member contacts the shaft flange and the second annular-shaped member contacts the rear cover.
Abstract:
A drying apparatus provided with a total care function with respect to a substance such as bedding, a washing machine having the same, and a control method thereof may include a sterilization course, a deodorization course, a pest elimination course, a dust elimination course, and a refreshing course, and may be capable of performing each total care function in an independent manner. By changing a rotation speed of the drum according to the type and the weight of the bedding, the damage of the substance at each of the total care courses is reduced while obtaining optimal effects. By providing a standard course having all the total care functions, the manipulation efficiency is enhanced for a user who is not familiar with the manipulation of the courses and also for a user who is not in favor of the individual manipulation of the courses.
