    Abstract: A method performed by a mobile device for selectively allowing radio-frequency (RF) resource sharing between a plurality of subscriptions associated with a plurality of subscriber identity modules (SIMs) in the mobile device, said method includes transferring access to an RF resource from a first subscription among the plurality of subscriptions to a second subscription among the plurality of subscriptions during an ongoing service through the first subscription based on occurrence of a condition, evaluating one or more network parameters pertaining to communication through the first subscription, and causing the first subscription and the second subscription to share access to the RF resource for a first defined time period based on the evaluating such that message communication through the second subscription is enabled without disconnecting the first subscription from the ongoing service.

    Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method for operating a UE (100) comprising a plurality of SIMs (150). Further, the method includes sending a request message to obtain a time gap configuration from one of: a first network entity (200a) when the UE (100) is registered and connected with the first network entity (200a) through the first SIM (150a) and to the second network entity (200b) when the UE (100) is registered and connected to the second network entity (200b) through the second SIM (150b). Further, the method includes receiving a response message comprising the time gap configuration from one of: the first network entity (200a) and the second network entity (200b). Further, the method includes activating the time gap configuration when the UE (100) is connected to one of: the first network entity (200a) and the second network entity (200b).
