Abstract: Disclosed are a method for controlling a multi-window screen and an electronic device for supporting same. The electronic device comprises a display, at least one processor, and memory storing instructions. The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to identify at least one window in which multimedia content is executed, while displaying a divided screen comprising a plurality of windows on a display. The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to display a menu item comprising a first object for lock setting, in response to receiving a first user input on one side of the divided screen. The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to lock at least one window and display the at least one window that is locked, when receiving a second user input for the first object.
