The method includes performing monitoring on a PDCCH conveying DCI including pre-emption indication information, based on an RNTI configured for indicating pre-emption; and when the DCI including the pre-emption indication information is detected, determining that no transmission for the UE is present in a PRB from a set of PRBs and a symbol from a set of symbols. The PRB and the symbol are indicated by the DCI, and a symbol indicated as a UL is excluded from the set of symbols indicated by the DCI.
