Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display, a fingerprint sensor disposed corresponding to a first area of the display, a touchscreen panel disposed corresponding to the display, and a processor configured to receive information about a position of a first touch input for setting up first security information for unlocking from the touchscreen panel, identify the first security information based on, at least, the information about the position of the first touch input, and provide, through the display, a user interface for unlocking where at least one first visual item for designating at least a portion of the first security information is disposed on the first area of the display corresponding to a position of the fingerprint sensor. Other various embodiments are possible as well.
