Abstract: A technique for transmitting a stream between a first electronic device and a second electronic device is provided. A method includes determining whether a stream output from the first electronic device is an Internet stream, and transmitting Internet accessible information of the Internet stream to a second electronic device which communicates with the first electronic device using a short range communication scheme. The determining whether a stream output from the first electronic device is an Internet stream includes determining whether the stream decoded by the first electronic device and output through an output device of the first electronic device is the Internet stream.
