摘要： Compositions and methods for alleviating or preventing discoloration in flame-retarded flexible polyurethane foams, known as “scorching”, are provided. The anti-scorch compositions contain antioxidant agents combined with at least one, and preferably with two, additional compounds selected from β-diketone compounds, epoxy compounds, organic phosphites or phosphonites, and metal salts of carboxylic acids.

摘要： Compositions are provided for alleviating or preventing discoloration, known as “scorching”, in flame-retarded flexible polyurethane foams. The anti-scorch compositions contain combinations of antioxidant agents, epoxy compounds, organic phosphites—alone or in combination with metal salts of carboxylic acids. The compositions are useful, for example, for polyurethane foams retarded with aliphatic or aromatic phosphorus-based flame retardants, or with halogen-containing flame retardants.

摘要： A boot for the treatment of an ulcer wherein the boot is comprised of at least 80% by weight of closed cell polyethylene. The boot comprises a single article and covers a foot and lower part of the leg of a person. An interior surface of the boot is vacuum and heat molded to the foot and lower leg of the person, and a cut out is formed to surround the ulcer of the person. This off loads the weight of the person from the site of the ulcer, and the custom molding minimizes any slipping and shearing forces on the ulcer. The boot is lightweight, easy to put on and take off, and less expensive than other healing boots available.
