摘要： An image forming apparatus including a first driving section having a feed mechanism and a printer engine, a second driving section having a delivery mechanism, a first motor, a second motor, and a controller. The first and second motors drive the first and second driving sections, respectively. The power supplied to one of the first and second motors having a higher output is cut off earlier by a predetermined compensation time as compared to the other motor having a lower output. The compensation time is equal to or shorter than the difference |T1−T2| between a first stop time T1 required to actually stop the first motor after cut-off of the power supplied to the first motor and a second stop time T2 required to actually stop the second motor after cut-off of the power supplied to the second motor.

The discharged paper tray is formed to receive a discharged paper so as to prevent possible damage to the paper which is usually weakened by the high temperature and high pressure of the printing unit.

摘要： A paper conveyance apparatus and method for an image forming apparatus are disclosed. The paper conveyance apparatus and method provide an improved structure in which when the distance between the conveyance roller shaft and the reversible roller shaft is shortened due to the abrasion of the reversible roller, the center of a gear train which transmits a driving force to the reversible roller is swung to move as much as the shortened distance so that the reversible roller can be continuously in contact with the conveyance roller. The paper conveyance apparatus and method comprise a conveyance roller for conveying a paper sheet to an image forming section, a reversible roller for contacting the conveyance roller, a driving motor having a driving gear for supplying a driving force to the reversible roller, and an idle gear for transmitting a driving force from the driving motor to the reversible roller. The center of rotation of the idle gear is movable according to the degree of abrasion of the reversible roller in order to transmit a driving force from the driving motor to the reversible roller.
