摘要： A document management system having enhanced operability so that a plurality of documents can be processed at a time by integrating a search operation, an image recording operation, and an index input operation. In the document management system of the present invention, input search conditions are transmitted to a search portion, which finds out a document satisfying the search conditions from a document data base via an index data recording management portion and outputs the result to a document list control portion. The document list control portion prepares a document list from the result and displays it in a document list display portion. For a new record processing, image data on a manuscript read by a scanner is output to an image control portion. The image control portion records the image data into an image recording portion and reports new document creating information to the document list control portion. The document list control portion creates a new record on the basis of the new document creating information and adds it to an already displayed document list for a display.

摘要： A file management system, a file management method, and a storage medium by which a higher productivity is achieved by efficient document indexing. In copying index data, a copy is created from text data of an application such as a text editor or a spread sheet or from index data displayed on a document list of a document management system. A range for pasting index data is selected by a pointing device or keyboard operation. The selected range includes a record as a search result, a record in which a new document is recorded, and a pre-index record. If a user gives an instruction on pasting index data, the obtained index data is checked to be recordable data for a field of the selected cell. If it is recordable data, index data record processing is performed.

摘要： There is provided a method of forming a carbon film which enables formation of a dense carbon film exhibiting high wettability with respect to a lubricant and also having high hardness, the method of forming a carbon film including: introducing a raw material gas (G) containing carbon and hydrogen into a deposition chamber having a reduced pressure; ionizing the gas (G) by electric discharge between a filamentous cathode electrode that is heated through energization and an anode electrode provided in the periphery of the cathode electrode; and accelerating the ionized gas by a bias voltage that is applied to a substrate (D) to irradiate the surface of the substrate (D) with the accelerated gas, thereby forming a carbon film on the surface of the substrate (D), wherein a pulsed negative voltage is employed as the bias voltage to be applied to the surface of the substrate (D).

摘要： If an error occurs during workflow processing, the present invention interrupts job processing appropriately while dispersing a load to the devices. When executing a plurality of processing steps with a plurality of devices in accordance with workflow setting information that defines the sequence of processing, a workflow execution method of the present invention includes the steps of: interrupting the processing step being executed when an error occurs in a first device; searching the workflow setting information including the processing step in the first device in which the error has occurred; specifying a second device in which another processing step included in the searched workflow setting information is executed; giving a notification that the error has occurred in the first device to the second device; restarting the interrupted processing step when the first device is recovered; and giving a notification that the first device has recovered to the second device.
