摘要： An electrophotographic photosensitive element having a conductive support provided thereon with a photosensitive layer comprising (i) a carrier-generating phase layer containing a carrier-generating material selected from the group consisting of perylene dyes, polycyclic quinones and azo dyes and (ii) a carrier-transporting phase layer containing a carrier-transporting material wherein said carrier-transporting phase comprises a hydrazone compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represent an aryl group which may have a substituent or substituents, and Ar represents an arylene group which may have a substituent or substituents.
