    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to an optical fiber connector. The optical fiber connector comprises at least one ferrule, at least one ferrule spring, a connector housing for holding at least one ferrule and at least one ferrule spring such that at least one ferrule spring is loaded to urge the at least one ferrule forward. The connector housing comprises an upper wall portion, the upper wall portion comprising a recess running lengthwise. The optical fiber connector further comprises a remote release comprising a front portion slidably received in the recess, and the remote release is configured to be pulled backward in relation to the connector housing whereby the front portion slides in the recess for releasing the optical fiber connector from a mating adapter.

    Abstract: An optical fiber connector includes an optical fiber ferrule and a single-piece housing in which the ferrule is received. The housing can be installed in an adapter to make an optical connection. A rotational locking mechanism has a rotor mounted on the housing for rotation with respect the housing about a rotational axis. The rotor can be rotated between a locked position and an unlocked position. The rotational locking mechanism is configured to inhibit the housing from being withdrawn from the adapter in the locked position of the rotor and to permit the housing to be withdrawn from the adapter in the unlocked position, and further comprising a guide pin, wherein the housing comprises an integral guide pin retainer configured to hold the guide pin in place on the housing.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a Network system including: a connector comprising a housing comprising a groove running widthwise on a surface of the housing; and a push-pull tab comprising a complementary groove, wherein the push-pull tab is detachably connected to the housing; and a receiver device comprising one or more ports for receiving the connector, the one or more ports having an interchangeable anchor device including a first portion and a second portion; wherein the groove is configured to receive the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, and wherein the complimentary groove is configured to receive the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device when the connector is inserted into the receiving element, the push-pull tab being configured to disengage the second portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the complementary groove when the push-pull tab is moved in a direction away from the connector, thereby disengaging the first portion of the interchangeable anchor device from the grove of the connector.     Abstract: Fiber optic connection assemblies that may include hybrid adapters and connector assemblies are generally described. The hybrid adapter may be configured to connect a first connector type and a second connector type, the first connector type being different from the second connector type. For example, the first connector type may be a micro connector and the second connector type may be an LC connector. A connector assembly may be configured as a micro connector having a tension element configured to facilitate optimized optical performance by spring loading the ferrules while maintaining a small form factor.
